Over 90 of the lists found in this collection are not included in the Queensland State Archives Assisted Immigration 1848-1912 online index: some lists were lost in the 1893 floods and others are not specifically migrant voyages, even though they did carry passengers. Some of the large migrant ships included in this collection but not in the Queensland State Archives online index are as follows:

Explanatory notes
Names and occupations are abbreviated as recorded on the original lists.
The inclusion of a question mark (?) means there was uncertainty in deciphering the original text.
As much as possible, all text has been transcribed exactly as it was recorded on the original lists.
Variant readings of a name are noted in the Comments field.
